If you want to break away from the traditional red and green this Christmas, try this fresh design that combines royal purple, silver and white. Of course, you can use any colors that compliment your decor.
Pre-soaked floral foam is resting in a plastic liner that fit perfectly into the opening of my hurricane vase, into which I placed a few sparkling ornaments. Notice how the foam rises above the top about two inches. This allows you to insert greens and flowers all around the sides. I used pine, fir and redwood cuttings from my yard. Remember to point them toward the center. Next I added my roses, staggering them at different heights. To add the ornaments, simply remove the cap and insert a discarded rose stem. Finally, I spray painted some curly willow silver and added several stems, giving it a wonderful, wintery look. The platinum bow was inserted using a wire pick. Very easy, but oh so pretty!
