Another great deal from the craft store, these two matching boxes cost around $4.00. I added a low, plastic liner to each, both of which I found at the hardware store, but you may be able to use your recyclables. I put floral foam in each box. In the larger one, the foam extends about an inch above the top so that I could add flowers around the edge. The foam is flush with the top of the smaller container.
Here I used shocking pink lilies, flame tulips, brilliant orange gerbera daisies, pink and orange roses, and a few lime green kermit mums. Notice how the flowers really compliment the colors in the boxes. That's the key to making this design work! Its low profile makes it a terrific centerpiece.
