Small, immature apples provide the support for a couple of stems of sapphire blue hydrangea in these two cube-like containers. One stem of Bells of Ireland was divided and randomly placed to pick up the apple green tones. I love the contrast of the vivid blues and lush greens. The apples were picked from my in-laws' tree which was so laden with fruit, it was relieved to give them up. You could use other unripened fruit as well...pears, small oranges, limes...just so they're small enough to fit into the containers.
