Maybe you received a bottle of wine in a festive gift box over the holidays. If, like this one, the box is not holiday themed, why not use it as a vase? All you need is a tall inner container to hold your water, maybe a jar, drinking glass, or plastic soda or water bottle (cut the top down to allow more room for flowers). Notice I used the taped grid method. Pick up a few flowers from the grocery store or see what your yard has to offer. Try to use colors that blend with your wine box. Jazz it up with some twigs, feathers, etc. The dark "sticks" in this design are actually the stems from the pink dahlias. I formed an X using raffia and tied it to the string attaching the lid to the box. Such a fun and unexpected flower vase!
