My container is an oblong pumpkin that I sprayed with just a hint of gold paint. I scooped out the insides (yuck!) to create a water tight vessel. Then I began filling it with apples, gourds and miniature pumpkins, which acted as an armiture for my flowers and foliage. I used a grocery store bouquet with lots of color and clippings from liquid amber trees. Some of the "produce" appears to be tumbling out of the large pumpkin. This is achieved by using bamboo skewers which can easily be inserted into the flesh of each pumpkin, apple and gourd. Notice how I sliced off the tops of some of them and used them as tea light holders. I dusted the finished design with gold paint and glitter which will catch the candles' glow. This sparkling centerpiece could very well steal center stage from your holiday turkey!
